The Vert Digue
The Vert Digue is an islet created at the moment the Lys river was straightened to have it comply with the European boat size rules. It spreads over 26 hectares and is owned by the city of Comines-Warneton. Large numbers of birds come to nest on the islet.
An observation post makes it easy to watch the birds. Explanatory boards are installed to inform the walker.
